Feel like celebrating New Year’s Eve with the entire family this year?
Well, who knew? Our community has lots of family friendly Hampton Roads New Year’s Eve events. Most take place early enough to get the kids home for dinner and still leave plenty while for adult party preparations.

Countdown to 2013 at Virginia Aquarium - December 31st from 11am-1pm
Children & adults get ready for games, activities, & sparkling nonalcoholic beverages. Free with Aquarium admission.
New Year’s Eve Celebration at Virginia Living Museum - December 31st from 11am-1pm
The whole family can enjoy this day-time New Year’s celebration. Come out to party with Bubbles the Clown, birds from the Peninsula Caged Bird Society and special animal friends from the Teeny Tiny Farm along with all your favorite VLM animals. Crafts, games, giant inflatable slide and a countdown at noon. Some activities require a fee in addition to admission. A wristband is available for $10 in advance/$12 at the door that gives unlimited access to games, crafts and activities.
New Year’s Eve at the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center and The Children’s Museum of Virginia - December 31st from 11am-2pm
Countdown to noon with a glittery ball drop, children’s activities and toast to the New Year at the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center. Then head over to the Children’s Museum to create your own festive party accessories to help you celebrate.
First Night Williamsburg - December 31st from 3pm-12am
The 20th Anniversary of New Year's Eve Celebration in Williamsburg VA. One button is all it takes to admit you all over town for this fun-filled event. Olde Town Scottish Walk - December 31st at 4pm
Walk begins at corner of Queen and Washington Streets in Olde Town Portsmouth VA. After the tuning of the pipes (about 4:00 PM) walk continues through Olde Towne to the foot of High Street. Flag raising ceremony Honoring George Washington's raising of the first flag “the Grand Union” on New Year's Day. Singing of Auld Lang Syne to thank the merchants for their work in the holiday season and to wish the community GOOD LUCK in the coming year. A Lighted Boat Parade starts at 8pm!
Pizzeria Uno Chicago Grill in Norfolk - December 31st at 5pm & 7pm.
Norfolk Location! Kid's New Year’s Eve party will be 5pm and 7pm. Balloons drop on the hour and we will have a toast.
Reball at KJ's Reball Arena- December 31st from 8pm - 12:30am
Have teenagers looking for something to do on New Year's Eve?? Check out the Reball (paintless paintball) Party - $25 from 8-12:30 includes mask, gun, balls and air also includes a slice of pizza and a fountain soda.
Celebrate 2013 at AMF! - December 31st at 10pm
